Bethsaida
Bethsaida, High Street, St Dogmaels, SA43 3EQAbout this listing
The space
Perfectly positioned to enjoy the best of the Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion coast, Bethsaida is a landmark building in the heart of historic St Dogmaels- a sensitively converted chapel with a wow factor which retains many of its beautiful art deco features.
The owners have taken every step to ensure that Bethsaida is a welcoming retreat for guests. The chapel has been lovingly converted to retain many original features, including beautiful stained glass, repurposed pews and a magnificent dining space within the original pulpit area.
This popular village overlooks the River Teifi and is known for the 12th Century St Dogmaels Abbey, working watermill and Tuesday local produce market, where you can pick up locally dressed crab and lobster from Mandy at Cardigan Bay Fish, locally produced meat and cheeses, a selection of Vegan foods and much more.
Other village amenities include a local shop, farm shop, fish and chip shop, White Hart Community owned pub, The Ferry Inn and Coach House Cafe serving excellent food and drink, galleries and a post office. Both Poppit Sands beach and Cardigan are a short drive or 20-30 minute walk away, with bus service linking to both.
Children love to spend time on the pontoon found at The Moorings where they can enjoy a lovely afternoon of crabbing. This same pontoon is also a meeting point for Bay to Remember, so be sure to book your tickets for their dolphin spotting trips out on the bay.
The area is a fantastic place for a canine guest as well as humans! With an array of beaches to choose from, plenty of dog-friendly cafés and restaurants, West Wales is a doggy paradise, so rest knowing the whole family will be catered for during your stay at Bethsaida.
