Me and my husband Gareth are from Cardigan and live here with our young daughter Anneka (the Annie to Ty Annie) who was born in early 2021.
We love to tour the beautiful area we call home with Annie, who enjoys the freedom West Wales offers. Vast sandy beaches, jaw-dropping wildlife and scenery and rolling hills all add to the magic of our beautiful pocket of Wales.
We set up Ty Annie Ltd to enable us to have more time to watch our Annie grow up, on our terms. The business quickly grew, and within 6 months, we moved to our tiny little office on Cardigan High Street.
By the time we got to the end of our first year in business, we were already managing twenty-something holiday lets on behalf of busy Owners who wanted a hands-off approach to letting. We have our own cleaning team and our first season was a huge success with zero complaints, which we are very proud of!
We’re big believers in supporting local, and we have and will continue to work on projects which are to the benefit of our local communities. In 2022, we ran ‘Taste The Bay’ a local produce pop-up shop over the summer to showcase food and drink producers from around Cardigan Bay and beyond and we have launched ‘The Cleaning Bank‘ for 2023, which is designed to offer flexible no-strings work to people who are facing barriers to work, and for those impacted by the reality of the Cost of Living crisis.
West Wales is beyond beautiful, it’s a paradise for those looking to escape busy life, and by creating positive experiences for visitors and owners, we believe it can do so much good for our little communities and create opportunities here for youngsters, which were certainly few and far between when we were growing up in Cardigan. We’re a truly local family with big local values, and we’re proud to be able to support the communities and businesses around us as much as possible.
